Hotel Grand Union
Compass was retained by Alfa Development to provide complete Project Management Services for the planning and re-development of the Hotel Grand Union, a 1905 registered Landmark in the Nomad district of Manhattan. The hotel was completely shut down for 18 months and gutted to the structure in most all areas. A complete renovation to all guestrooms and public spaces transformed the property while still preserving the classic architecture and finishes of a bygone era. The new Hotel Grand Union includes 90 Guestrooms and Suites, a new restaurant, exclusive Lounge, Lobby Bar, Rooftop Bar and all support services. Compass directed all project planning and programming efforts in the project's initial phase, and executive level full-service project management during construction.
